I didn’t like the way the tips that came with my cutouts looked/worked. They were too short and turned down too sharply. This put the fumes right at the drivers window. So I decided to put something else on. I bought some chrome 4″ round universal 18″ long tips and modified them to be what I wanted. I first cut off the slip on joint they came with. Then I test fit them by taping a v-band flange. This way I could see what I needed to do to give the look I wanted. The first thing I had to do was to grind down the exhaust tip and v-band to make it come out at the right angle. Once I had that right, I wanted to flare the end to make it more of an oval. This would not only look a little better, it would help give me just a little more clearance. Once I had everything test fitted, I welded it all up and mounted them. Below are the pictures of the project.
